A voice that came to explain the economy, and now the silence has left. Sometimes, some people just do their work, but that work changes the perspective of thinking of a generation.

Today is a sad day for all of us, where we are remembering India’s famous economist, policy researcher-writer, and ThePrint columnist. Dr. Radhika Pandey, a senior economist, is no longer with us.

She died at the age of 46 on 28 June 2025 at ILBS, New Delhi. This is a great loss for the world of economics.

Economist Radhika Pandey ji was the name who not only understood economic terms, but wrote them in such a way that even a common woman could understand them. For platforms like ours, which promote women’s empowerment and financial literacy, her work has been an inspiration.

Her writings were not only full of wisdom, but there was clarity in every word.

Whether it was monetary policy or matters of budget, she always took care that the readers do not get confused.

They should be able to understand, think, and take decisions. This is what real empowerment is – when you can connect economics as an emotion from real life.
